Film Review - Central Intelligence.

Film: Central Intelligence.
Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Running Time: 108 Minutes.
Cast: Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Amy Ryan, Aaron Paul.

Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson team up in this action comedy. Dwayne Johnson plays a slightly awkward though very  handsome and chiseled  Robbie Weirdict a CIA agent who has seemingly gone rogue which leads to a cat and mouse chase with his agency the CIA. He is a shadow of the Robbie we are introduced too in the beginning of the film where he is bullied and humiliated in High School. Kevin Hart who plays Calvin Joyner once crowned prom king, is now an accountant who lives a mundane life and thinks of his glory days. A fateful Facebook friendship request from Robbie changes Calvin’s life into a whirlwind of action where Calvin becomes Robbie’s unwilling partner in his pursuit of proving his innocence. The onscreen chemistry of Hart and Johnson is incredible, every time they are on screen together it is a good laugh which almost cover’s up the weak and flimsy plot that has brought the two characters together. The film is concluded at their 20 year high school reunion where Robbie receives the recognition he deserves and Calvin subsequently changing his career. Could this mean a possible sequel? I suppose we will see. Entertaining? Yes, just wish the plot could've been as captivating as the two actor's.

Central Intelligence releases nationally on the 24 June 2016.
